We are so excited to announce that we have been selected as a charity partner for the 2025 United Airlines NYC Half.
This amazing opportunity to run the streets of NYC (including one of two times that they shut down Times Square) is one of high demand: the race field of 25,000 is completely sold out! Consider joining the EOAA team of runners in support of our mission.
If you would like to inquire about guaranteed entry through our charity team, please complete the 2025 Half Marathon Application and email to info@eoanimalalliance.org. Race entry is not guaranteed until you have completed our registration form and have been assigned a slot through Team EOAA’s NYRR account.

Your support will help raise critical funds to provide resources that enable the City of East Orange to most effectively care for its at-risk animals and support the people who are dedicated to them. Our volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) organization carries out this mission by fundraising for needs above and beyond the City of East Orange Animal Shelter’s budget, increasing exposure for the shelter’s adoptable animals, funding shelter diversion programs to keep pets in homes, and connecting the shelter’s animals with adopters and rescue groups.
Benefits of running with Team EOAA include:
Team EOAA runners must commit to fundraising a minimum of $1,750, due in full by Saturday, March 15, 2025.
In addition to the fundraising pledge, Team EOAA runners are responsible for a $100 sign-up fee paid directly to NYRR and due at the time of registration.
If you do not reach your fundraising minimum by the deadline, EOAA will charge the balance to the credit card indicated on your registration form.
Every team member who officially registers and obtains an entry through Team EOAA is committed to reaching their fundraising minimum by the deadline regardless of any situations that may arise. These entries are vital fundraising opportunities for the East Orange Animal Alliance, which is why we ask everyone to commit to their fundraising goal when we assign the race entry to their name.
